How do you measure a year? No doubt the past one has been incredibly challenging in so many ways. Despite this, we at one2one had a busy summer and are excited for what’s to come this fall. With the help of our generous Donors, we have proudly granted camp and college scholarships, donated a new, more technologically advanced dance prosthetic to a teenage cancer survivor, assisted healthcare workers, aided a military veteran family, and so much more. This fall we are launching two new programs: a General Scholarship Fund and a Clean Water Program which will bring clean drinking water to 1000 homes in desperate need in Central Valley, California. Our Donors have helped us change lives. Read on to learn more.
Our Team is committed to supporting the evolving needs of our Donors and we are so grateful for your continued support during this challenging time!

New Program Alert - General College Scholarship Program
We often receive inquiries from our many partner organizations about the availability of scholarships for their needy and deserving students. Unfortunately, we have to turn down many of these requests because we do not have the funding to support these students. Today, we are hoping to change that with the creation of a General College Scholarship Fund! These funds are critical in allowing us to respond quickly to requests for help from needy, qualified students and their families. Please help us help them by donating to this fund today! Click “College Grant” from the drop down menu. Please reach out or visit our blog to see how a college scholarship can change a person’s life.
Donor Spotlight - Chamath Palihapitiya
We are incredibly excited to work with Chamath Palihapitiya and SOURCE Global on a new $7 million project to provide clean water to those in desperate need in Central Valley, California. This is our largest clean water program to date and when the project is complete, SOURCE Hydropanels, a one-of-a-kind renewable water technology that uses the energy of the sun to create premium drinking water by drawing pure, constantly replenished water vapor out of the air, will be installed on approximately 1000 homes adversely affected by drought and toxins in the water supply. You can read the full story in Fast Company and on Yahoo! Finance.
Donee Spotlight - Meet Delaney
In 2016, high schooler Delaney, an avid dancer, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer in her left leg. She underwent a rotationplasty amputation surgery on her leg in 2017. This past June, Delaney became a one2one donee, and received a custom prosthetic that will enable her to walk and dance better. Our Donors created a prosthetic program to honor their beloved sister’s life. Specifically, they were hoping to form a connection with athletic young adults who faced the challenge of needing a better quality prosthetic. They can’t wait to meet Delaney in person!
A dancer and kickline team member at her high school, Delaney became the third recipient of this prosthetic program. We were thrilled to once again partner with A Step Ahead Prosthetics and to be there on June 30th when Delaney received her new, more durable and flexible prosthetic which allows her to move more freely while dancing and doing what she loves!
“…My family and I were praying for a miracle and you made it come true. In my future I plan to pay the kindness forward. I know that without you, my life would be very different now. I will be forever grateful for what you have done to help my family and me…”
As we approach the end of 2021, we hope you will consider one2one in your year-end giving plans.
Each donation helps support our Mission to connect people directly with those in need. Our goal is to create an active community of Donors who, by helping one person at a time, will collectively improve countless lives.
